We Write a Poem for Every Baby. Here's Why.

The most important moment in a baby app

Think about what happens in most tracking apps the moment you add your new baby. You type a name. You pick a date of birth. You tap save. And then... you are dropped into an empty feed, waiting for you to log a nappy change.

It struck us as strange. The moment a new person joins your family is the single most emotional thing that will ever happen inside a baby app — and we were treating it like filling in a form.

So we changed it. Now, when you welcome a new baby to BubSync, the app does something small and unexpected: it writes them a poem.

A few lines, written just for them

The moment you add your baby, BubSync quietly composes a short, one-of-a-kind poem drawn from the details you have shared — their name, when they arrived, where they were born if you told us. It is calm, it is warm, and it is theirs alone. Something like:

Hello, little Aria — the world held its breath for the bright winter morning you finally arrived.

Welcome. We have been waiting for you.

No two are the same. It is not a milestone you have to earn or a feature you have to find — it simply appears, as a gentle first page, right after you welcome your baby into the app.

Why a poem, of all things

Because a number cannot hold a feeling. "Baby added: 1" is true, but it is not the truth of the moment.

We are surrounded by apps that quantify our babies — millilitres, minutes, percentiles. All of it is useful, and BubSync does plenty of it. But the first thing the app says to you when your child arrives should not be a measurement. It should be a small acknowledgement that something extraordinary just happened.

A poem does that. It is a tiny gift, given at exactly the right moment, that says: we know this is more than data to you.

How it works

We kept it simple and pressure-free:

  • It is free, for every baby. The first poem is on us — there is no paywall on a welcome.
  • One poem, made to last. Each baby gets their own. There is no slot machine of regenerations — it is written once, for them.
  • Keep it or let it go. Love it? Tap to add it to their memories, where you can re-read and share it any time. Not your thing? No worries — a gentle "no thanks" and you are straight into the app.
  • It waits for you. Adding a baby offline still works perfectly; the poem is ready when you are back online.
  • Everyone is included. A baby whose gender you have set to "other" gets a poem with no gendered language. Every baby is welcomed the same way: warmly.

The first page of the baby book

We think of the poem as the opening page of your baby's digital baby book. Before you have logged a single feed, before the first smile or the first step, there is already something in their Memories worth keeping — a handful of lines that captured the morning the waiting ended.

The feeds and the sleep charts matter. But years from now, it will not be the millilitres you reach for. It will be this.

Welcoming a new baby soon? Add them to BubSync and see the poem written for them. It is free, and it takes about thirty seconds to meet.
