BubSync is a logbook, and it is also the thing that briefs the next person. Below is every capability that has shipped, grouped by the problem it solves, with the outcome first and the mechanism second.
Free
One parent, one phone, plus anyone you brief for an evening.
Premium
Two or more people caring for the same baby, each on their own account.
Logging
The part you do forty times a day. It has to work with one thumb, in the dark, on a phone with no signal.
Eight built-in activity types, plus your own
Free, more on Premium
Bottle, breast, pump, nappy, sleep, food, tummy time and notes are there the moment you install. Nothing to configure before the first feed.
Breast pump is its own type rather than a bottle feed, so expressed output is totalled separately from what your baby drank. Custom types are a Premium addition for the routines the eight do not cover.
A basement nursery, a flight, a hospital corridor. The entry saves the instant you tap it, and the day is never reconstructed from memory afterwards.
Every write lands on the device first and joins a queue. The queue drains when a connection returns, on app foreground, on pull-to-refresh, and when a push arrives.
Quick Log
Free
A 3 am nappy is one tap. Start Sleep, Wet, Dirty, a bottle at your usual size, breast left or right, all from one sheet.
Long-press the plus button, or use the Quick Log button above it. Bottle sizes default to 60, 90 and 120 ml and you can change them. Android home-screen shortcuts and web app shortcuts log the same actions without opening the app first.
Night mode, for the wakings nobody was recording
Free
She woke at 2 am and you resettled her. One tap puts it on the record without waking you up properly, and in the morning the night has a shape instead of a feeling.
Between 7 pm and 7 am the capture surface goes near-black with a warm dim foreground: no white flash, no sound, no startling buzz. A waking is an event inside the night rather than the end of a sleep, so three wakings leave one sleep record with three wakings on it. Marking back-to-sleep is optional, and so is saying how you settled her. If you slept through the logging, the morning prompt lets you add the night afterwards.
–A waking with only a time is a complete record. Everything else is optional
–The 3 am bottle and nappy can be logged from the same dark screen
–A mis-tap can be undone without opening an edit form
Voice logging
Free
"Hey Siri, log bottle" while both your hands are busy. The entry is in before you have put the baby down.
BubSync answers a deep link, so you build the phrase yourself in the iOS Shortcuts app or as a Google App Action and say whatever you like. Sleep, a one-hour sleep, wet and dirty nappies, bottle, and breast left or right are all supported.
Sharing & handover
The reason BubSync exists. Everything here is about the next person taking over knowing what you know.
A 24-hour handover link
Free
Send tonight’s babysitter a link. They open it in whatever browser is on their phone and read the whole handover. No account, no app, no charge, on either side.
The link freezes the handover at the moment you send it: the last feed, the last sleep, the last nappy, your care essentials, your instruction manual, and the AI check-in if you tick the box. Its address is unguessable, and it stops working after 24 hours.
–Free on every plan, for the sender and the reader
–Expires after 24 hours, checked on the server rather than left to a cleanup job
–The reader needs no BubSync account and installs nothing
Write down how your baby is settled once, and stop writing it out again for every sitter, grandparent and daycare handover.
Two pieces of care content on the baby: comforts and likes, sensitivities and dislikes, then a longer manual for how you do things. Both ride along in the 24-hour link and both are visible to carers in the family. Neither has a paywall on it.
Everyone logs into the same day, from their own account
Premium
Your partner logs a feed and it is on your phone. Nobody sends an update text, and the timeline shows who did what.
Each carer signs in as themselves rather than sharing one login, so entries carry an author. One subscription covers everyone who helps, with no per-seat charge and no cap on carers or babies.
Give a sitter one baby, not your whole family
Premium
A nanny sees the toddler she looks after. Grandma sees the memories and not the medical notes. Nobody has to be trusted with everything to be useful with something.
An invite asks who the person is: Parent, Family, Carer, or a custom mix of activities, growth and memories. Groups combine, so a babysitting grandparent gets both. You can change what a whole group sees afterwards and it applies to what you already shared, and any single entry can carry its own answer to "who can see this".
–Baby scope and data scope are separate: which children, and which kinds of record
–Changing a group default applies retrospectively, except where an entry has its own setting
–A carer who loses access is told what they can no longer see
Accept a co-parent invite without giving up the family you already run. Switch between them, and each one stays its own world.
Every family you parent is a profile you can switch to. The profile you are not in contributes nothing on that device: no babies, no feed, no memories, no notifications. Either parent can add babies, rename the family and manage who is invited.
See that the other phone actually got it
Premium
You logged the 3 am feed. Before you go back to sleep you can see it reached your partner’s phone, and whether they have looked.
Sent, delivered and seen, for every device in the family, the way a messaging app does it. Changes land in seconds rather than waiting for someone to pull to refresh.
Handover notifications
Premium
The person starting their shift is told what is due next, without you remembering to send the reminder.
Live carers in the family get prompts as the day moves. The handover keeps updating instead of freezing at the moment you sent it, which is the difference between a link and a carer invite.
Memories
The half of BubSync that is not operational. Firsts, photographs, and something written for your baby.
A living baby book
Free, more on Premium
First smile, first step, first word, in the order they happened. BubSync suggests which firsts to watch for around your baby’s age, so the quiet ones still get written down.
Milestones are memories rather than tracked activities, so they live in their own tab and never clutter the timeline or the insights. Recording the built-in ones is free. Adding milestones of your own is Premium.
Attach photos to any memory and turn two to four of them into a themed collage with one tap. On Premium the photo reaches the family the moment you take it.
Photos are free and stay on your device. Premium syncs them to everyone you shared the memory with, so a grandparent at work sees the picture rather than hearing about it that evening.
Photos that are private until you say otherwise
Free, more on Premium
A photo of your baby does not leave your phone because you attached it to a memory. It leaves because you chose who sees it.
Every image is re-encoded on the device before it is stored, which strips GPS and camera metadata. Each memory carries one scope for all its photos, and the default is Only me. Cloud copies on Premium are encrypted, and access is checked against who you shared with every time a photo is opened.
–Location and device metadata stripped on the device, before anything is stored
–Private by default: Only me, until you widen it to Family or to named people
–A photo taken in the app is also saved to your camera roll, so BubSync is never the only copy
–If Premium lapses, cloud copies are kept for at least 30 days and then purged
What the logging is for. Everything here is computed from your own baby’s entries rather than a generic schedule.
Feeding and sleep patterns
Free, more on Premium
See whether a hard night was a blip or a shift. Free covers a day and a week, which is enough to answer most questions.
Charts per activity type over 1 and 7 days on the free tier. Premium opens 30, 90 and custom ranges, which is the window a pattern across a growth spurt actually needs.
One tap turns the day so far into a few sentences you can read out to whoever takes the next shift.
Written from your logged entries and nothing else. It streams in as it is written, and you can attach it to a handover link so the sitter gets the same summary you did.
A daily sleep schedule built from your own baby’s naps
Premium
A plan for the day ahead: when the naps are likely to work and where the night sleep sits, instead of a schedule from a blog post about somebody else’s baby.
The times are computed from your baby’s own logged nap pattern and their age, and the AI only rewrites those computed facts into plain language. Three methods are offered, wake windows, by the clock, and eat play sleep, and one is starred as recommended based on what your logs actually show. With too little sleep history it says so and gives age-typical guidance instead of inventing a pattern.
–Preterm babies get a schedule built on corrected age
–Around five to seven days is the guidance for trying a rhythm before adjusting it
–General guidance from your own data, never medical advice
Know roughly when the next nap and feed are coming
Premium
Wake windows and next-feed times you can plan an afternoon around, learned from your baby rather than an average one.
Time windows rather than exact minutes, computed from what you have logged. Phrased as "around" and "aim for", because a baby is not a timetable.
Growth charts you can hand to a nurse
Premium
Weight, height and head circumference plotted with the percentile you get asked for, ready to show at the check-up rather than reconstructed in the waiting room.
Plotted against the WHO standards for your baby’s sex, and exportable as a PDF that reproduces the chart rather than a table of numbers.
A baby born early is compared to where they would be if they had arrived on their due date, so the chart stops saying they are behind when they are not.
Tick one box and add the due date. Before the due date, measurements are scored against the INTERGROWTH-21st preterm standards; after it, against WHO by corrected age, and the chart runs continuously across the crossover. Correction applies until 24 months and then stops on its own. Milestone suggestions and the sleep schedule use corrected age too.
–The free baby age and growth percentile tools do corrected age with no account at all
–Each measurement shows both ages, for example 2m 18d corrected and 4m 24d actual
The unglamorous half. How you get your records out, how you get your account gone, and how you sign in.
Export as PDF, JSON or CSV
Premium
Take your records with you. A PDF for the appointment, a CSV for a spreadsheet, JSON if you want the lot.
From the share button on the Insights and Growth screens, for the baby and the period you are looking at. The PDF reproduces the charts as the app draws them.
Deleting your account takes a code, not a tap
Free
Nobody erases your family by handing your unlocked phone to a toddler, and when you do mean it, it happens.
Deletion needs a one-time code emailed to your verified address on top of the confirmation. Active account data is removed within 30 days. Encrypted disaster-recovery backups roll off within 35 and are not readable by anyone.
Logging a 3 am feed without a white screen in a dark room, or in anybody’s eyes.
Light, Dark or System in Settings. It follows the phone if you let it.
Sign in with Google
Free
One fewer password to invent at the point where you least want to invent one.
Available in the web app and on Android. iPhone users sign in with an email address and password.
Promo codes and campaign offers
Free
A code from a card, an event or a friend gets you a better start on Premium than the standard trial.
Open the Premium screen in the app and use "Have a promo code?", which hands you to the App Store or Google Play redemption sheet. A campaign link opens the app straight onto its offer, and the terms are stated on the button before you buy anything.
–Redemption happens in your app store, so codes work on Android and iPhone rather than in a browser
–Every code carries an expiry set at the store
Android and any browser
Free
Install it on Android, or open the web app on a laptop. A grandparent can help without installing anything.
One codebase, so the web app is the whole product rather than a cut-down viewer. The iPhone App Store release is still to come, and iPhone users run the web app in the meantime.
AI summaries and predictions are general guidance generated from your logged data. They are never medical advice.
Most of this is free. Try the rest.
Install from Google Play or open the web app, add your baby, and log the next feed. Compare the two plans line by line on the pricing page.
