Welcome to BubSync

BubSync Team··3 min read

Why we built BubSync

When our founder had their first baby, the household quickly descended into a familiar chaos: a notepad on the fridge, a WhatsApp thread with grandparents, a spreadsheet that nobody updated, and the ever-present question, "did you change the nappy or did I?"

Every baby tracking app we tried was built for one person. One phone. One parent logging on behalf of the entire care team. That's not how families work.

The whole care team deserves a shared view

BubSync was built around a simple idea: every person caring for your baby should have the same real-time picture of their day, not just the primary carer.

That means:

  • A partner at work can check whether the morning feed went well.
  • A grandparent looking after bub can see the last nap time without calling.
  • A night nurse starting their shift can read the full day's history in seconds.

What you can track

BubSync logs everything that matters in the first year:

  • Bottle and breast feeds: volume, side, duration
  • Nappy changes: wet, dirty, or both
  • Naps and sleep: start time, duration, sleep location
  • Growth: weight, height and head circumference trends visualised in charts (Premium)
  • Notes: free text for anything else
  • Custom activity types: add your own once you know your routine (Premium)

Getting started

BubSync is currently in pre-release open testing on both Android and iPhone, so anyone can join, with no invite needed. Here's how to start:

  1. Install BubSync. On Android, get the pre-release from Google Play. On iPhone, the app is now available for testing through Apple TestFlight: install Apple's TestFlight app, tap the link, and BubSync installs from there. The web app is in any browser when you want a bigger screen.
  2. Create an account with your email address.
  3. Add your baby. Just a name and date of birth.
  4. Invite your team. Share a link from the Family tab. Done.

The iPhone build is a beta, so it is not on the App Store yet and TestFlight builds expire every 90 days. If you would rather wait for the App Store release, subscribe for launch updates and we'll let you know the moment it lands.

We're so glad you're here. Welcome to the BubSync family. 🐨
