Why is sharing one login with a nanny a bad idea?
Because a password is all or nothing. Hand it over and the nanny can see every child in the family, every photo, every note, and every entry either parent has ever made. Take it back and you have to change it for everyone, then re-enter it on every phone in the house. In between, nothing on the timeline says who made which entry, so the record you are paying a professional to keep has no name on it.
Most baby trackers still work this way. Their own help pages tell partners to sign in to the same account on a second phone, which is fine for a couple and a poor fit for an employee. A shared login is also the nanny’s personal phone signed into your family’s account, which neither of you should be comfortable with.
What should a nanny be able to see, and what should stay private?
A nanny needs the operational day for the child in their care: feeds, sleep, nappies, and the care essentials that say how this baby is settled and what they cannot have. They do not need the baby book, the photos of the other children, or the notes you write for yourselves.

How does the 6 pm handover actually work?
